In 2018 I undertook a residency in the regional NSW town of Kandos. I found many wonderful things, one of these things was in the collection of the local museum; a model of a church made entirely from clothes pegs.My natural reaction to this bizarre object was to create a new religion based around the worship of clothes pegs. So in November 2019 I returned to Kandos for the Cementa arts festival with my peg shrine in tow. I wandered the streets making new converts, preaching passages from the book of the peg and handing out blessed peg necklaces.
A big thanks to the wonderful town of Kandos, Alex Wiser, Bec Dean and the rest of the Cemneta crew.
