Introduced birds are those species that have been transported to an area in which they do not normally occur, competing with native species for space, food and nest sites. Starlings, mynas and pigeons are as common as the carelessly discarded trash that litters paths, clogs waterways and rots in landfill. Using detritus collected from the streets, I have sculpted a series of common pigeons and other birds.
